Find out what hemp is really about
Have you noticed the increase of products that contain hemp or cbd? Hemp is a plant that is biologically classified as, cannabis (just like its cousin, marijuana). When most people hear the word, "hemp", they tend to think of being high. But the psychoactive high people think of- is actually from high levels of THC found in marijuana plants. Hemp plants contain less than .3% of THC, while marijuana will contain more than .3%.
Hemp plants contain high levels of CBD, and low levels of THC- and they offer a variety of health benefits. Hemp plants are processed in various ways to be consumed by users. There are also other cannabinoids found in cannabis plants. With over 100 with more being found as there becomes more research available.
While hemp has been used since 2900 BC, there is still so much to learn. In 2018, The United States, created the Farm Bill Act to make hemp legal. And since, there has been a lot of research to understand the plants benefits and find ways to use it in our products we use and consume.
While hemp is federally legal- I strongly suggest looking into your local city and state laws and regulations, to understand the legality of hemp and marijuana.
